Midtown Comics

Midtown Comics opened its first store near Times Square in 1997. Its four founders had known each other since their teens in Astoria, Queens. A Grand Central store followed in 2004, Downtown in 2010 and an Astoria outlet in 2020.

It has been called the largest comic store in the US and has been New York Comic Con's official retailer since the show began in 2006. National Geographic's Comic Store Heroes was filmed there. Online, it lists cover-by-cover variants, including the high-ratio virgin incentives on this site.
