About the artist
The story behind the art
Mike Choi studied management information systems at the University of Texas at Austin and spent three years as an IT consultant at IBM before switching to art.
He started at Top Cow on Witchblade, then moved to Marvel, penciling X-23: Target X in 2007 and Uncanny X-Men #495–499 with Ed Brubaker in 2008. Wizard put him on its Hot 10 Artists list.
He's also worked in video game concept art. In 2015 Kotaku named him one of the 20 best X-Men artists of the franchise's first 50 years.
