Joe Quesada

Joe Quesada was born in New York City in 1962. DC hired him in 1990, and in 1992 he co-created Azrael for Batman: Sword of Azrael. He also drew Ninjak and Solar for Valiant.

With Jimmy Palmiotti he founded Event Comics and co-created Ash. In 1998 the two took over Marvel Knights, which led to Quesada becoming Marvel's editor-in-chief in 2000.

He ran Marvel's comics until 2011 and served as chief creative officer from 2010. He left Marvel in 2022, and in 2024 he became head of Amazing Comics, where he co-writes and draws Disciple. His covers remain some of the most sought-after virgins Marvel puts out.
